Get your costume ready and prepare to spook your cycling friends this Friday, Oct. 30. The Mid-Ohio Valley Bicycle Council is sponsoring a bike ride and reception.
The event will take place at Parkersburg Bicycle. It will begin with a costumed bike ride at 5:30 p.m. Participants will ride from Parkersburg Bicycle to Vienna Bicycle, where they will receive a treat (or trick) before riding back to Parkersburg Bicycle. After the ride a reception at Parkersburg Bicycle will provide information about the bike council's work. Costumes are suggested, and lights are required for the bike ride.
Also at the reception, two local children will receive awards for their efforts to make the area more bicycle friendly. Come and support these kids and tell them GOOD JOB! Additionally, representatives of the River Valley Mountain Bike Association and the Blennerhassett Bicycle Club will be on hand to describe their activities and sign up members. This is a great opportunity to meet other community cyclists and cycling advocates.
Everyone is welcome! Don't want to ride? We welcome you to the reception at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the ride, see the story that ran in the News and Sentinel on Oct. 12.
Every bike we sell comes with a service package that includes:
