Halloween Ride is a Treat!
Last Friday Parkersburg Bicycle sponsored a constumed ride and reception for the Mid-Ohio Valley Bicycle Council. A bunny, Marie Antoinette and other participants rode up Grand Central Ave. to Vienna Bicycle Shop and back to Parkersburg Bicycle. At the reception afterward, representatives of local governments and bike clubs discussed bicycling infrastructure and club activities with local cyclists. Also, representatives of the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Planning and Development Council were on hand to gather ideas for potential bike routes in the river valley. The turnout was great and so was the food! Someone suggested that we should host a holiday lights bicycle tour, and plans are under way. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this such a great event. If you are interested in providing feedback to the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Planning and Development Council regarding potential bike routes, maps from the council will be available at the shop until Nov. 19 if you would like to mark a bike route for the planning council to consider.
