School's In Session

Repair ClassWe held our first basic maintenance class on July 23. I discussed the basics of bike safety, using our shop tune-up checklist as an outline. The checklist, developed by Parkersburg Bicycle owner Peter Kotses, covers every aspect of bike safety and is a great tool for anyone to use. Next attendees got down and dirty and learned to change a tire. It was a great group and a lot of fun. Everyone was supportive of each other and  learned a lot quickly. I am excited to host the next class. (This class filled up within 24 hours of being advertised and a second offering of the same has already filled up.) If you are interested in attending the basic maintenance class or a gear shifting class, contact me and get your name on the waiting list! You can e-mail me at kim@parkersburgbike.com or call the shop at (304) 485-BIKE.  Classes are free if you have purchased a bike within the past year from Parkersburg Bicycle or $10 if you have not.
